I haven’t been running this week because of finals, but it seems that I now have trouble sleeping whenever I go for too many days without some kind of lengthy cardio. As is usually the case, overly late hours increase my tendency for introspection (as well as my predisposition to oversharing).
Around this time last year I told myself that it was time to finally exorcise my ghosts when it came to how sad I used to get about the situation back home. It’s not that I didn’t care. It’s not that I don’t care. I think how little I know about their lives since that point - and how none of them have ever been particularly inclined to asking about my life or even telling me about theirs when I’ve asked and how it hasn’t even been that often that I’ve asked - attests to the fact that it was never quite right.
I just wish -as I have a little too much time on my hands with only a single paper really in the way between myself and home - a little bit that things could have been different.
