Much as I kind of switched Tumblrs I also decided on a whim to switch blogs yet again. I managed to stick with the last one for more than a year so that’s quite an achievement! In the end I guess I’m just kind of fickle.

It’ll likely be my main blog from now on and I just wanted to have a fresh start that is more in keeping with my major predisposition for serious-ness. I like the theme, but it does not have capitalization built in, which I find bizarre.

With today’s notifications, everyone in the immediate grad school route (alright, three people) is in at a program of choice! Yay!
Scheduled my first DC job interview. BOS —> IAD because it is supremely expensive to fly into Reagan straight from Boston (which I hadn’t realized earlier becuase of lacking familiarity with Kayak’s user interface). Here’s to hoping I don’t have to do this too many times!

Tragedy of Tragedies.
I’m on my last two packets of Trader Joe’s Jasmine Pearls Green Tea.
DISASTER. Especially because I don’t think I’ve ever seen it at my local Trader Joe’s here (which happens to be on Newbury Street because I don’t drive or have a car).
Trying to decide if I should take myself on a one-day weekday trip to DC for an interview or not. (In really early in the morning from Boston Logan to Reagan National Airport in DC and out in the late evening.) It’s for a legal assistant position at a large law firm. for their 100+ attorney litigation group. I want that job, but ouch, my class schedule is a pain.

I should have figured after Mike Bietz and Harvard Westlake neglected to pay me for judging the entire tournament (said extremely ritzy private school from socal still owes me $170) in my sophomore year that judging is really just not worth my time and effort. Still, I guess I never learn.

Cancelled my LSAT score. Retaking in June. In the grand scheme of things, it is unimportant but for the testing fee and the transportation costs associated with test day. However because I so thoroughly announced my intentions to destroy that thing to all and sundry I am a little bit embarrassed. Oh well.

More LSAT Talk.
I’m reaching the point where I can definitely go in to the test on February 6th reasonably expecting the score I want to achieve. Of course, the process of studying is all-encompassing enough that I talk about little else and get irritable frequently on days that I’m running practice tests. I think everyone in my life will be pretty happy once I get this test done and buried.

It’s fairly modest, in truth, and should all be quite attainable by January 24th when I fly back out to the Boston.
Study for the LSAT and hit a comfortable margin above 172, and preferably 175 at least by the week I leave. I’m ridiculously consistent across tests from prior to the double-passage era at least, so I’m hoping I don’t have to worry too much about...
